Pianiste sud-coréenne née en 1986, Yeol Eum Son s’impose comme l’une des artistes les plus brillantes de sa génération. Révélée très jeune par les concours Tchaïkovski et Van Cliburn, elle est saluée pour la finesse de son jeu et sa virtuosité lumineuse, notamment dans les concertos de Mozart. Sa vidéo du Concerto n°21, vue près de 23 millions de fois, est devenue la plus regardée de Mozart en live sur YouTube. Elle a collaboré avec Sir Neville Marriner pour son dernier enregistrement, et s’est produite aux BBC Proms. Sa discographie, riche et éclectique, explore Mozart, Schumann, Ravel, Kapustin ou encore Prokofiev. Son dernier album Love Music est paru chez Naïve.
South Korean pianist Yeol Eum Son, born in 1986, has established herself as one of the most brilliant artists of her generation.
