Dré Pallemaerts, born in1964, discovered drums at the age of five and soon developed a passion for jazz. Trained in Los Angeles with Jeff Hamilton, he embarked on an international career in his teens, playing with Dee Dee Bridgewater, Art Farmer, Joe Lovano and Toots Thielemans. Settling successively in Seattle, New York and Brussels, he collaborated with the great figures of European andAmerican jazz: Michel Herr, Bert Joris, Mark Turner, Baptiste Trotignon, Frank Amsallem, Steve Grossman... An inventive composer and multidisciplinary artist,he created his own projects such as Pan Harmonie or Winter (with Pablo Held), developed sound research through electronic music (DP, 21 Emanations) and founded the 52creations label. Also a sound engineer, he teaches at the CNSM in Paris and at LUCA (Louvain), sharing with the new generation a demanding and free approach to music.)et fonde le label 52creations.
