Der Freischütz et la tradition de l’Harmoniemusik

Specializing in interpreting on historical instruments, the Belgian ensemble WOLF offers a dive into the heart of Der Freischütz by Carl Maria von Weber, the founding opera of German Romanticism. Through an arrangement for winds from the 19th century, the concert brings to life the most striking moments of the work (hunting scenes, lyrical impulses, mysterious atmospheres and popular impulses) in a closer, expressive and spectacular version, where all the dramatic richness of the opera unfolds without decor or staging, carried only by the evocative power of wind instruments.
