Vox Luminis takes us on a real journey through time, offering the Stavelot audience a very fine selection of Jean-Sébastien Bach's motets, music from which the Leipzig Cantor draws its sources from the chorale tradition as imagined by Martin Luther in the 16th century. To the simplicity of the origins of the genre, Bach brings all his knowledge in the expression of emotions, transforming these prayers into real baroque paintings endowed with the colors of the instruments and intense fervour.
