From the child prodigy to the global icon, Judy Garland alone embodies the golden age of American musicals. Her voice, bright and vulnerable, has spanned the decades and continues to make the hearts of generations of viewers beat. This program traces her journey through twelve iconic songs, from Somewhere Over the Rainbow to Get Happy, including Embraceable You or Let There Be Love.
Reinvented by The Amazing Keystone Big Band, a major French jazz orchestra with a communicative energy, this mythical repertoire is adorned with new colors. The voice and the brilliant personality of Neima Naouri, who is none other than the daughter of the two great lyric singers Nathalie Dessay and Laurent Naouri, gives life to these timeless melodies and makes them resonate with a very current intensity.
This concert was also born from a dream: that of Jodie Devos, a close friend of the musicians, who wanted to sing Judy Garland with the Keystone Big Band. Solar, joyful and sparkling, let's celebrate the legacy of Judy Garland together while simultaneously echoing the spirit of Jodie, for whom this repertoire meant so much. A musical journey where two luminous destinies respond, in the same spirit of joy and freedom.
