Manu Comté - Varese Quartet

Sensations is a musical journey between heritage and creation. The starting point is Five Tango Sensations by Astor Piazzolla, an emblematic work born from the artistic encounter between Manu Comté and the Varese Quartet. The five movements in this suite — sleepiness, love, love, anxiety, anxiety, wakefulness, and fear — constitute the emotional matrix of creation. Between each movement, an original piece by Gerardo Jerez Le Cam extends and enriches the work to form a large series of ten musical sensations. It is not a question of rewriting Piazzolla, but of creating a contemporary, sensitive and free echo of it, inspired by the first sensations without imitating them. This play of reflections and contrasts offers a new look at Piazzolla's work.
