André Manoukian, pianist, author and composer, goes beyond his media image. After Anouch, a tribute to his grandmother who survived the Armenian Genocide, he is pursuing an intimate and musical quest for his origins. With La Sultane, he celebrates his little sister, nicknamed “my sultane” by their mother. On stage, a complicit quartet, led by Mosin Kawa, Indian tabla virtuoso percussionist, with whom he shaped the project. For the occasion, Manoukian enriched her universe with artists such as the singer Arpi Alto and the percussionist Anissa Nehar. Between jazz and Armenian sounds, between improvisation and the memory of traditions, this concert takes us on a musical journey where each moment weaves a link between East and West. A rare evening, to be experienced intensely.
